If students are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or believe they may have been exposed to COVID-19, they should:

  1. Stay home and do not come to campus.
  2. Notify their faculty / professors of absences and call or email Student Coach to report in.
  3. Contact the Sarpy County Health Department at 531-203-0322 or 402-506-1553, or Test Nebraska for medical or testing guidance.
  • Everyone must wear a face mask on campus and in classes and face-to-face meetings. Disposable masks are available on campus. Watch this welcome back video for more information.  
  • Students with concerns about wearing a face mask, should contact Disability Services to discuss possible accommodations.
  • Employees who have concerns about wearing a face mask, should contact Human Resources to discuss possible accommodations.

  • Bellevue University fully intended to offer in-class options for the fall term, which begins August 31, 2020. As the university will be in compliance with recently announced U.S. customs and immigration guidance, students with F-1 visas will not be impacted. Click here to read the full university statement.

  • No events or meetings are being held on the Bellevue University campus through July 31, 2020. A decision will be made regarding future events in late July and additional communication will follow.
  • Bellevue University’s commencement will be held Saturday, August 1, 2020, at Werner Park, an outdoor stadium that is the home of the Kansas City Royals, Triple A affiliate, the Omaha Storm Chasers.

  • Campus visits have been authorized for prospective students. Visits are limited to individual visitors; not groups. Everyone must wear a mask on campus and in face-to-face meetings.
  • Phase I Guidelines for Coming Back to Campus are available and provide guidance for staff, students and faculty who may be working, learning or interacting on campus.
  • Updated information is available for incoming international students. Please see Updates for International Students in the Updates for Students section.
  • No events or meetings are being held on the Bellevue University campus through June 30, 2020. A decision will be made regarding future events in late June and additional communication will follow.
  • Bellevue University business travel continues to be suspended, unless it is approved by the President’s office.
  • Bellevue University is advising against personal international travel for Bellevue University employees. In accordance with Nebraska’s Directed Health Measure, anyone returning from international travel will be required to quarantine at home for 14 days upon return.
  • If an employee elects to take a personal trip outside Nebraska, they will be responsible for self-monitoring and quarantining at home upon their return, as needed.

March 30th Updates

  • All residential, in-person classes resuming in a distance learning format. This includes all day and evening residential classes on the Bellevue and Lozier campuses. Current online classes continue with no change in schedule.
  • The OneStop Welcome Center is closed to walk-in traffic. Bruin Support Services will continue to provide services to students and staff via email and phone.
  • The Freeman Lozier Library is adjusting its physical hours of operation. The library building will be open:
    • Monday through Friday, 8am – 6pm
    • Saturday and Sunday, 1 pm – 5pm.
  • Library staff are still available to provide assistance online during regular hours of operation and to students around the globe via the 24/7 Librarian chat on the library website.
  • The computer lab in the Riley Technology Center is closed until further notice. Students may still access computer equipment and services in the library and in the Margre H. Durham Student Center on the main campus and in the northwest Omaha Lozier Professional Center.
  • The Military Veteran Services Center is closed to walk-in traffic. Those needing support from the MVSC are urged to call ahead to 1.866.676.3614 or email mvsc@bellevue.edu.
